Say goodbye to RETS!

Beginning November 1, 2022, RETS (Real Estate Transaction Standard) will no longer be available from MichRIC®. We will move to favor the RESO Web API.  We are transitioning data consumers from RETS to the Spark or RESO Web API.

Why use the API?

Why use the API?

Existing RETS vendors have until June 31st, 2022, to migrate to the RESO WebAPI. Vendors continuing to use RETS on July 1, 2022, will receive a fee to utilize the feed.

Beginning November 1, 2022, RETS will no longer be available. MichRIC® data access will only be available through the RESO Web API or Spark API.

The RESO Web API is the new way to transport data in our industry.  It's a method that has been proven to deliver or receive data quickly and efficiently.

We are working with our 400+ RETS vendors to help them incorporate the RESO Web API.  There's nothing you will need to do on your part at this time.

Can I get additional data through the API?

In addition to the existing MichRIC® data, you will also be able to access data from other MLS's that we have agreements with. This includes Realcomp and the Ann Arbor Area Board of REALTORS®.

How to receive an API Key

Existing RETS vendors can request an API key using the below form.  We will work as quickly as possible to issue a key once we have received the request.
